The Observatory for Technology Transfer - OVTT - is a project carried out by the Research, Development and Innovation Vice-Chancellor's Office of the University of Alicante and sponsored by Grupo Santander. It is a meeting point with high strategic value of information on Technology Transfer and Competitive Intelligence. It works as a reference platform focussed in all actors involved in the relation University-Industry-Business community in which the quality of the contents, the search for skilled information and the interactivity between the users are a priority. It counts with a Searcher of skilled information that allows going in databases, consulting market prices and products, technological offers and demands, policy and rules for intellectual property rights, the state of the art of the last technologies, etc.

The RESEARCH MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER SERVICE (SGITT-OTRI) is the service of the University of Alicante responsible for promoting and managing the activities of research and innovation. It is also in charged of the relations of the University with companies in the areas of research and technological innovation, promoting the participation of research groups in R+D projects.

Its final aim is to improve the relations between the University of Alicante and its surroundings, promoting the economic and social development, and making the research activity profitable. It offers services to researchers, students and companies such as: fostering joint projects of R&D University-Company, promoting the University technology to companies, specialized professional services, search of financing sources, etc.
